4 Luv of Dog Rescue in Fargo is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non profit group that rescues dogs from area pounds as well as from owners who are no longer able to provide adequate care for their pets. They typically have 50 to 65 dogs in their rescue at one time. Most of these dogs are in foster homes, but when a foster home is unavailable, they temporarily pay to house dogs in a boarding facility. If you have pets, and even if you don't, I'm sure you can imagine the costs associated with providing basic and veterinary care for this number of dogs at one time.

"We hope you will consider helping us help the many homeless dogs in our community. We placed 301 dogs in new homes in 2009 and hope to rescue and re-home even more in 2010."
