"If there’s such as thing as a perfect winter day in Fargo, this February day was close. It had snowed all morning, then, mid-afternoon the sun came out. I headed out the door to shoot pictures of the Red River at dike east. Near the end of that shoot, I walked to Island Park. After shooting numerous images, I spotted the long shadow cast by the sitting sun. It was the last image I shot that day." Artist Mel Stone.
